Isleworthians Youth Football Club

Events & Fundraising

Why is fundraising so important?

Fundraising is important to the club as it allows us to keep our signing on fee, one of the lowest in the league.  This, in turn, ensures that all children have the opportunity to play football and be part of a club.

With YOUR continued support at our fundraising events, buying raffle tickets, bidding in the auctions and helping to find sponsors, we can continue to be an inclusive football club for all children in our community.

Isleworthians is a non-for-profit club and all money raised is reinvested back into the club. Maintaining facilities on the grass pitches at Goals and paying for pitch hire is by far the biggest cost. However, the club’s fundraising efforts also cover a contribution towards the annual payment to the league each year, equipment such as goals, nets, corner flags, and the first kit for the new U7’s team each year.

Last Man Standing – Estimated prize pot £1,000 – enter by the 30th March

1. Each player pays £12 (£8 prize pot and £4 to the club) and picks one team you think will win in the weekend’s P League fixtures.

2. Selections must be submitted via google forms (The link is below)
3. If your team wins you are into week 2, if your team draws or loses you are out of the game
4. All remaining players pick again for the next week but you can only pick each team ONCE. (i.e.If you picked Man City in week 1 you can’t have them again until the game is won and we start again)
5. If the game you selected is postponed then you can re-submit before the deadline, otherwise, you are automatically re-assigned to the most popular team available to you.
6. Last player standing wins the pot
7. A game week occurs every time there are 5 or more premier league games, including mid-week rounds. (If games are postponed after the deadline reducing the number of games to below 5 the whole week is voided)
8. If all remaining players exit in the same week then the pot rolls over and all players (old and new) can re-invest in the next game giving us a bumper pot.
9. The pot can be split but only amongst four or fewer players and only if ALL players agree to that split. If one player wants to carry on the game continues. NB. The number of players being able to split increases by one with every roll of the game. So if the game rolls over once then 5 players can split.

Keeping in touch with the game
This is super important as we lose players every time from non-selections before the deadline and occasionally from players who have picked the same team twice.

Our deadlines pretty much never change. 3 pm on a Friday for weekend games and 3 pm on day 1 of mid-week rounds (normally Tuesday).
This email will also link to a google spreadsheet. This lets you see who you (and others) have picked each week. Use this if you need reminding who you’ve picked to avoid making duplicate picks.
A message will be sent every week without fail.

Payment
Payment is £12 of which £8 will go towards the winner and £4 towards the club.
For example, if we get 50 entries the pot will be £600 of which £400 is to the winner and £200 to the club.

Please do share with the parents and let’s see if we can get above 50 entries. Pass out to friends and family.

The team that gets the most entries in the club will win 10 training balls.

This is now open to enter.

Thank you,

Chris
